Practice Description

Blue Spruce Medical Centre has immediate openings for six part- or full-time family physicians or general practitioners to join our team. New or experienced, as well as eligible foreign medical graduates are welcome.

We are a busy family practice clinic in north Edmonton with five physicians. We are part of the Edmonton North Primary Care Network, which offers may beneficial health services and specialists. We are a paperless office using very user friendly Healthquest electronic medical records. In addition to the many common family practice procedures we perform in our office, we also perform cosmetic and laser procedures. A key strength in our practice is our excellent team of physicians and doctor friendly support staff.

Pediatric health, Teenagers health women health, Men health, Gynecology and Obstetrics up to 20 weeks, Medically Supervised Weight loss program, sports medicine, Exercise Medicine, long term care, Chronic disease Prevention, mental health, acute care, Anti aging Medicine, Cosmetic and Laser Medicine and Surgery
We offer Scheduled appointments to our Clients as well as walk in Clinics.
New team members are free to practice the field of Medicine to are most comfortable with.
The practice is a part of PCN and you can expect to work alongside Nurses, dietitians, psychologists, Exercise coordinators , complex care team and other health care professionals with the primary aim of improving patients care and access to the best medical care the province can afford.
We have a chiropractor on site.
Overhead is 24/76 with possibility of reduction to 20/80 after 18 months of practice as a team member.

Physician Agreement Incentives

A Flat Fee is paid to physicians who practice & reside this community of $0 per year provided his/her annual income for insured services is greater than $50,000. (Residency conditions apply, including living in the eligible community for nine of the previous twelve months ending on the payment date.) The Variable Fee Premium paid is an additional 0% for insured services provided in this community.

Rural, Remote, Northern Program (RRNP) - Please note, payments through the RRNP are capped at $60,000 per physician per year.

Medical Liability Reimbursement - reimburses physicians for their medical liability protection costs less a $1,000 deductible.

Continuing Medical Education - reimburses physicians for eligible continuing medical education costs. Each eligible physician receives a $2,656 annual allotment which can be carried forward for up to three years.

Parental Leave Program - provides $1,063 per week for up to 17 weeks to physician parents of a newborn or newly adopted child.

Business Cost Program - addresses escalating practice costs in community based practices. This fee modifier is added automatically to select office visits and consultations. This program applies across the province and all physicians who provide visit services in an office based setting will receive an additional $2.75 with the exception of Calgary and Airdrie where the fee modifier is $3.25 on select office visits and consultations.
