General practice of medicine – Interest in Integrative Medicine

Physicians take a patient-centered approach to care for patients both in a traditional family practice as well as in integrative medicine.
Provide comprehensive continuous care, chronic disease management, and or/care for actue health needs
Screen patients as necessary for appropriate prevention, identification and treatement of chronic disease
Practice in a team based environment
Minimum 35 hours per week

Qualifications & Experience

Interest in Integrative Medicine
MD, at least 5 years experience in family medicine with an interest in integrative medicine
Advanced Cardiovascular Live Support (ACLS) desired
Advanced Trauma Life Supportt (ATLS) desired
Certification in the College of Family Physicians of Canada CCFP desired

Compensation: Fee for Service
250-400 k
Physician Agreement incentive:
A Flat fee is paid to physicians who practice this community of 0$ per year provided his or her annual income for insured services is greater than 50,000. Residency conditions apply, including living in the eligible community for nine of the previous 12 onths ending on the payment date. The Variable Fee preumium paid is an additional 0% for insured services provided in this community.
Retention Benefit: supports and promotes the retention of physicians in AB by rewarding their continuous years of service to AB. Physicians receive between 5,141 and 12,852 depending on their years of service to Albertans.
Medical liability reimbursements- reimburses physicians for their medical liability protection costs less than 1000 deductible.
Continuing Medical Education: reiumburses physicians for eligible continuing medical ed costs. Each eligible physician receives 2,656 annulal allotment which can be carried forward for up to 3 years
Parental Leave Program: provides 1063 per week for up to 17 weeks fo physician parents of a newborn or newly adopted child
Business Cost program: addresses escalating practice cost in community based practices. This fee modifier is added automatically to select office visits and consultations. This program applies across the province and all physicians who provide visit services in a n office based setting will receive an additional 2.75 with the exception of Calgary and Airdrie where the fee modifier is 3.25 on select office visists and consultaitons.

A Flat Fee is paid to physicians who practice & reside in this community of $4100.00 per year provided his/her annual income for insured services is greater than $50,000. (Residency conditions apply, including living in the eligible community for nine of the previous twelve months ending on the payment date.) The Variable Fee Premium paid is an additional 0.00% for insured services provided in this community.

Rural, Remote, Northern Program (RRNP) - Please note, payments through the RRNP are capped at $60,000 per physician per year.
